Engaging with our Local Nations in the Treaty 2 Territory-Children, Families and Nation Circle and Peacemaking Circle

May 6, 2021

Treaty 2 Territory – The Children, Families and Nation Circle along with our Peacemaking Circle has been working towards engaging virtually with our Local Nation Membership. To date, we have met with members from Ebb and Flow First Nation and Dauphin River First Nation. The Virtual Sessions took place via Zoom and were a great success! Our Knowledge keepers, Men’s Council, Women’s Council, and Youth Council Representatives were included with their Nation’s Session. Participant members from each Nation had the opportunity to ask questions, provide suggestions, participate in ice breakers, giveaways, door prizes, and a survey regarding CFN.

Going forward, the Children, Families and Nation circle and Peacemaking Circle will be conducting Virtual Engagement Sessions together with each Local Nation. Prior to each session, there will be a Registration Zoom Link made available and a poster containing information about your Home Nations Engagement Session.

Our team has also put together a questionnaire via Survey Monkey to capture necessary feedback. If you are interested in taking the survey; it will be posted to our Treaty 2 Territory Facebook page, or can be emailed directly to you. For those who do not have social media and would like to participate in the survey, we can provide you with a hard-copy questionnaire.

If you would like to pre-register or require more information regarding Engagement Sessions or Surveys feel free to email: savannah.stagg@fnt2t.com

We look forward to engaging with your Home Nation.

Your voice is needed, valued and important!
