Manitoba Government Renaming Wildlife Management Areas in our Territory without us

Treaty 2 Territory – The Manitoba Conservative government has, yet again, made a move that attempts to erase the Anishinaabe presence and further disrespects the inherent rights of the Anishinaabek in Manitoba.

In a news release dated April 26th, 2021, the province announced it will name 8 wildlife management areas after “prominent Manitobans.”
