Men’s Council review FNT2T Peacemaking and Life Long Learning processes and engagement

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T Men’s Council met on Wednesday June 16, 2021, online to listen to presentations on FNT2T Peacekeeping by Chantel Barker and Life Long Learning by Donna Beyer. Chantel updated the council on the peacekeeping laws and engagements that have been happening online with members of the treaty 2 nations. There was a motion made by Leroy Thompson of Little Saskatchewan nation and seconded by Barry Bone of the Keeseekoowenin Ojibway Nation to:  accept the proposed framework and process the Inakonegawin of drafting of Peacemaking to the T2T Peacemaking Onankonehkawinan and have the Governing Council approve the law and send to the Grand Council for review.

Life Long Learning Keeper Donna Beyer gave the council an update on the latest developments of the Life Long Learning Circle with updates on what is being developed for informational books for the treaty 2 schools for education of the treaties and knowledge for the students. The FNT2T men’s council meet regularly to review resolutions and keep informed on all the FNT2T Circles. Please look for upcoming engagement sessions online and when safe in your nation.
