FNT2T meets with Riding Mountain National Park to plan 150th year of the making of Treaty 2

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T keepers and Riding Mountain National Park staff met at the Sharing Lodge in Wasagaming on Thursday August 12, 2021 to discuss and finalize details on the upcoming 150th year of the making of Treaty 2 and the events that will be happening over the 2 day event. There will be numerous events and entertainment over the two day event. The first day will consist of ceremony and presentations on history and the making of Treaty 2. There will be drum group songs for certain events, with a gospel tent for the people to attend. The day will end with a feast for all in attendance.

Day 2 will be speeches by dignitaries and the flag raising ceremony, along with medal presentations to the leaders and invited guests. The second day will end with live entertainment such as pow wow dance demonstrations, and music by various artists from the treaty 2 territory.
