FNT2T participates in successful Cultural Yard Fringe to promote awareness and friendship

September 27, 2021

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T participated in the 2021 Dauphin’s Yard Fringe on Sunday September 26, 2021, as part of the cultural days in Dauphin. Yard Fringe is an event that celebrates a variety of cultures, where people bike around the town to different venues to watch or participate in the event. This year a pow wow demonstration was organized by FNT2T to promote the indigenous culture and different types of pow wow dance. Local drum group North Wolf Ojibway from Ebb and Flow Nation sang a variety of songs for the people in attendance. Dancers from the local area danced jingle dress, and the participants joined in a friendship dance to end the event. It was a beautiful day for the event with many participants stopping by to enjoy the drum songs.

Every Child Matters T shirt was given out to all who were in attendance to bring awareness to all children who attended Residential School. Please join FNT2T and the Dauphin Friendship Centre on Thursday September 30,2021 for an awareness event in Dauphin as part of the National Reconciliation Day in Canada. FNT2T would like to thank Dauphin for the invite to participate in a successful Yard Fringe event.
