Government of FNT2T Lead Keeper Boh Kubrakovich-Kiniw invited as Panelist with Brandon Chamber of Commerce

November 26, 2021

Treaty 2 Territory – A panel of business minded Anishinaabe / Cree minds came together in Brandon today. The Brandon Chamber of Commerce held an Economic Reconciliation Luncheon, and invited FNT2T Lead Keeper, Boh Kubrakovich-Kiniw as a Guest Panelist.

“It was great to be up here today invited by the Brandon Chamber of Commerce. ReconciliAction begins with truth & moving the differences from the mainstream/settlers aside; it begins with land back strategy through our Onankonehkawin/Onankonehkawinins like it was the day before treaty with the crown” shared our Lead Keeper.

“Our schools in the territory need to teach business, economics and trade at an early age; it was part of the Territory prior to settlers arriving. Everything begins from our Creator; the offering and exchange of Asayma and taking the ancestral land back; beautiful session today in the Anishinaabe & Treaty 2 Territory” concluded Boh.

Also in attendance at today’s event was Ogema David LeDoux of Gambler First Nation, and FNT2T Internal/External Keeper, Scott Lynxleg.

Ogema LeDoux acknowledged Barry Cooper for his role with business and trade in the Territory.

Miigwech to the Brandon Chamber of Commerce for today’s insightful, and meaningful conversation as we all work together toward reconciliation in our Territory.
