FNT2T Internal/External engaging with business owners as part of reconciliation in the territory

February 17, 2022

Treaty 2 Territory – As part of reconciliation, FNT2T is developing relationships and awareness of FNT2T government and Treaty 2 Territory with schools, municipalities, and business owners. This involves educating and presenting on history of the original peoples of the land in treaty 2 territory. On February 17, 2022, FNT2T met with Damon Guillas business owner of the Russell Inn and Assesipi Ski Resort to begin a reconciliation process. A treaty 2 flag was presented to Damon as part of the reconciliation process.

Damon is a supporter of reconciliation and wants to do more as a business owner to promote awareness and education of what treaty 2 is and FNT2T government. There will be follow up meetings to educate the staff and business in the area. It was a great meeting and FNT2T looks forward to a positive relationship with all business owners in the treaty 2 territory. FNT2T will be engaging with more businesses in the future. Please look for upcoming postings in your nation.
