Official player call out! U20 Junior Hockey Challenge

Treaty 2 Territory – The Treaty 2 Territory U20 Junior Hockey Challenge is set for April 2022!  What is the U20 Junior Hockey Challenge you ask?  It is Treaty 2 Territory’s elite hockey showcase.  It will feature the best 80 Anishinaabe, Cree, Dakota, and Nakota prospects in the Territory.

80 players will be selected via draft, by nation Ogema’s on March 30, 2022.  The draft will be broadcasted live on MTN LIVE.

The Ogema’s pick 4 teams, which are based on the Aki-Guardian spirits, Aniimikii (Thunderbird), Misaabe (bigfoot), Maaniipogo (water spirit), and Memegwezhiisik (little people).

The 4 teams will play in a round robin, star studded, elite tournament in Kakakwekejeong, Aniimooziibiing, and Peguis in April 2022 (stay tuned for official date).  There will be Junior A and B scouts in the stands for player identification, and the final 3 games will be broadcasted on MTN LIVE!


We are having evaluation skates for all First Nation, 2002-2004 and exceptional 2005 born hockey players.

The dates and locations are as follows:

March 9 @ 8:00 pm – Peguis Multiplex

March 15 @ 8:00 pm – Ebb & Flow Arena Complex

March 16 @ TBA – Keystone Centre – Brandon, Treaty 2 Territory


The cost is $20 per session, with a max of 50 players per session.
