Economic and capacity development main topic of FNT2T Economic and Nation Development gathering

Treaty 2 Territory – On March 4, 2022, FNT2T government met at the government office in Dauphin Mb with Steven Josephson of Athabasca Catering to discuss economic development with nations in the treaty 2 territory. There was discussion on developing working relationships with other businesses and nations in the territory. There was leadership from the nations of Gambler Chief Dave Ledoux and Chief Cameron Catcheway of Skownan. Capacity building and training needs of each nation were discussed and the steps moving forward in developing an economic base and training programs for each nation.

Ryan Sutherland Economic and Nation Development Keeper gave an update on the Economic and Nation Development Circle and what projects are being developed. FNT2T will be developing and helping the nations build capacity and training needs for the members to participate to gain skills for business development. There will be follow up sessions to discuss the next steps in developing economic development in the nations.
