Chantel Barker Peacemaking keeper updated the council on the peacemaking circle and reviewed the peacemaking survey for input from the council concerning the peacemaking process. These surveys will be part of the engagement process for members in the territory to engage and give their input in developing a more indigenous court system instead of the colonial justice system that doesn’t work for the indigenous peoples. There will be engagement sessions in the nations to have the members give their input to the FNT2T circles for each circle development for each nation. The FNT2T Ikwewak Council meets regularly to give guidance and support for the FNT2T government and the lawmaking process for all the nations in Treaty 2 Territory. Please look for upcoming notices and engagement sessions in your nation.
