A great week of hockey participation for the youth of Tootinaowaziibeeng

April 2, 2022

Treaty 2 Territory – The nation of Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve had a great week for youth hockey. On Thursday March 31, 2022, it was hockey day in Tootinaowaziibeeng, where the youth participated in a Jordan Principle event of a hockey skate for all youth and members. In total there were 54 skaters registered and enjoyed a rink burger and fries along with a great skate for all who attended. There were door prizes for all who registered.

On Saturday April 2, 2022, Jordan’s Principle staffer Gord Mckay and Erich Mckay took youth from Tootinaowaziibeeng  to the Winnipeg Jets Game to help celebrate Indigenous youth night in Winnipeg. The youth enjoyed the game and were put up on the jumbrotron waving the Tootinaoziibeeng Flag. It was a great night and week for the members and youth of Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve. FNT2T would like to thank the Jordan’s Principle program for sponsoring this event and for the invitation to attend. Please look for the upcoming FNT2T Minor Hockey Championships held in Dauphin, Mb from April 14-17,2022.
