FNT2T and Mountain View School Division participate in Reconciliation with students and staff

April 19, 2022

Treaty 2 Territory – It was a great morning at Mckenzie Middle School in Dauphin, Mb on April 19, 2022. There was a feast and flag presentation done to the staff and students. FNT2T was invited to be part of this reconciliation event and presented the Treaty 2, MMIWGT, and the Every Child Matters flags to the school as part of their Elders and Knowledge programs that will be hosted in the schools in Dauphin. Knowledge Keeper Wanda Levasseur of Ebb and Flow First Nation conducted the pipe and water ceremony prior to the feast. This is part of a 3 day event in the Mountain View School Division, with events happening at the Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School and Whitemore school.

FNT2T will be participating in reconciliation events in all schools in the territory. FNT2T would like to thank the school division for the invite to be part of this positive event and look forward to more in the future. Please look for upcoming events in your area.
