Timberton Camp set for June in Tootinaowaziibeeng

Treaty 2 Territory – Tootinaowaziibeeng Cultural centre, West Region CFS and the Tootinaowaziibeeng Health services program are gearing up for the Timberton Family Camp from June 27- Jul 01, 2022, at the cultural grounds and centre. During the 5 days of family camp there will be numerous activities for the members to participate in and learn the teachings of the knowledge keepers that will be in attendance. Some of the activities are:

  • Sharing circles
  • Warrior Olympics
  • Hide making/drying meat
  • Story telling/music therapy
  • Wagon rides/face painting
  • Geocaching/ Volleyball

There are spaces for members and guests to set up tipis and tents if they wish to camp out at the cultural grounds. There will be story telling and teachings by the knowledge keepers in attendance. There will be opportunities for all to participate in land base learning activities. This will be a great 5 days of learning and coming together as a nation to help the youth learn about the history of Tootinaowaziibeeng and the practices  used.
