FNT2T participates in “Circles for Reconciliation” in the territory

June 18, 2022

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T Internal/external attended a day long event of reconciliation at the Brandon Keystone centre. This event was part of an ongoing series of engagements, provided by the Circles for Reconciliation. This is a non-profit organization that works with indigenous and non-indigenous people to bring them together for a 10-week engagement session. There are 5 indigenous and 5 non-indigenous people and they meet weekly for 10 weeks to learn from each other and form positive and respectful relationships with each other. During the day, the participants broke out into groups to discuss reconciliation and some of the ways people can come together and get to know one another.

The Circles of Reconciliation have worked with First Nations in the territory and with non-indigenous organizations to bring them together to start the process of reconciliation with one another. If you or your organizations would like to participate in the Circles for Reconciliation series, please contact them on their website www.circlesforreconciliation.ca . FNT2T would like to thank the city of Brandon for the invitation to be part of this Day of Reconciliation in the territory.
