Adult Singing Contest POSTPONED – 5 finalists announced!

August 24, 2022

Treaty 2 Territory – The Adult Singing Contest, along with the Grand Council have been officially postponed.  The decision came shortly after the announcement of the passing of our beloved Knowledge Keeper Mary Houle of Kakakwekejeong.  We send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of koko Mary Houle.  We had the pleasure of Mary speaking at all of the sports related events we have had, and it was always an honour to sit and talk with her, she was a very kind and caring ikwe.

The Adult Singing Contest is poised to be the entertainment portion for Day 1 of the Grand Council meeting with all of our Treaty 2 Territory citizens, and the entrees we have recieved make me really excited.  With that, I would like to announce the opening up of entrees.  We have 5 Finalists (See bottom for names!) for the contest, and we would like to open it up to 15 more singers, with easier way to enter!

WHO CAN ENTER?

  • Must be from one of the 12 Treaty 2 Territory nations
  • Must be 18+
  • Must not be considered a professional
  • Must be registered for the Grand Council meeting – Register Here

HOW TO ENTER – ITS VERY SIMPLE and we are ONLY taking the first 15 entrees for the contest, so get your entry in quick!  You will get confirmation via email if your entry was received. (NOTE: All contestants are responsible for their own travel and accommodations)
