Anishinaabe of Riding Mountain

Traditionally the Anishinaabe have had a strong connection with their environment which especially included the land and animals. These teachings have been passed down through the generations and are very important to the Anishinaabe because they have taught them countless lessons on how to live in harmony on mama-aki (mother earth). Many people that practice these teachings live in the 7 Anishinaabe First Nations that surround Riding Mountain National Park Parks Canada.
