Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T took part in Dauphin’s Yard Fringe event day on Sunday September 25, 2022. As part of the Yard Fringe tour on bikes, a demonstration of pow wow songs and dances were performed for the participants that were in attendance. Knowledge Keeper Lillian Lynxleg of Tootinaowaziibeeng gave the opening prayer. Women’s Jingle dress, sidestep, along with a Men’s traditional dance were part of the event. An intertribal dance was done to give the participants a chance to dance to the drum group North Wolf Ojibway from Kakakwekejeong (Ebb Flow) Nation. FNT2T would like to thank the organizers of Yard Fringe for the invitation to be part of this community event to bring awareness and education of indigenous culture. Yard Fringe is held annually in Dauphin for all cultures and organizations to participate.
